Metro downs Pittsburgh, 5-2

The Pittsburgh Vengeance fell to the Metro Jets, 5-2.

Metro stifled Pittsburgh's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Vengeance were unable to stop the Jets from sending pucks towards the net, and Metro eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

The Jets were helped by Jason Newel, who had one goal and one assist. Newel scored 16:01 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Metro. Jake Sealy picked up the assist. Metro also got points from Andrew Sawyer, who also registered one goal and one assist. Cody Jones also scored for Metro. In addition, Metro received assists from David Chavis, Tyler Layle, TJ Krajewski, and Matt Dempsey, who contributed one each.

Pittsburgh gave up more goals than its normal season average. The Vengeance average 2.5 goals allowed per game.

Pittsburgh was led by Eli Lynn, who grabbed one goal. Lynn scored 15:32 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Metro. Brennan Conway provided the assist. Pittsburgh also got a goal from Tyler Speis as well. More assists for Pittsburgh came via Nathaniel Schwartz, who had one.

Jake Stephan rejected 21 shots on goal for Metro. The Jets totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Jacob Stack recorded 36 saves for the Vengeance. Pittsburgh incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
