Great Falls squeaks by Bozeman, 4-2

The Great Falls Americans gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Bozeman Icedogs.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Nathan Zorbas secured the win for Great Falls with a goal in the second period.

Robert Kalata had two goals to lead the Americans to victory. Kalata scored on the power play at 9:23 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Great Falls and again while 18:39 into the third to make the score 3-1 Great Falls.

Great Falls forced Bozeman goalie Denijs Romanovskis to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Great Falls also got a goal from Lucas Lomax as well. More assists for Great Falls came via Lucas Stover, who had two and Michael Kliment, Wade Wylie, and Adam Apangalook, who contributed one each.

The Icedogs were helped by Kyler Chartier, who registered one goal. Chartier scored 1:28 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Great Falls. Kegan Couture picked up the assist. Coleton Anderson also scored for Bozeman. Other players who recorded assists for Bozeman were Gunnar Mogck and Kevin Steffey, who each chipped in one.

Lauren Massie made 25 saves for the Americans on 27 shots. Great Falls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Bozeman's Romanovskis stopped 37 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Icedogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
