Knudson leads Yellowstone to shutout victory over Glacier

Havre Ice Dome    Fri, Oct 03, 2014

Lance Knudson recorded a shutout against Glacier as the Yellowstone Quake picked up a 5-0 win.

Yellowstone was led by Will Landsverk, who had one goal and one assist. Landsverk scored 4:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Yellowstone.

The Quake's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Glacier power plays. Yellowstone's offense rang up 47 shots on Glacier's net.

Yellowstone also had goals scored by John Scherer, who had two and Buck Scougale and Sean Pilet, who each put in one. More assists for Yellowstone came via Max Doner, who had two and Adrian Maass, Mike McCullen, Brandon Blaszczyk, and Mason Stewart, who each chipped in one.

Glacier put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Quake to score on any of their four power plays. Yellowstone was unable to stop Glacier from sending pucks towards the net, and Glacier eventually piled up 51 shots on goal.

The Quake's Knudson stopped 51 shots out of the 51 that he faced. Yellowstone incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Ryan Lund made 42 saves for Glacier on 47 shots. Glacier incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
