The game between the Chicago Junior Bulldogs and the Peoria Mustangs was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Chicago emerged with a 3-2 win.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Tyler Selteriech's goal in the second period proved to be the difference maker.

In a losing effort, Peoria was led by Austin Wisely, who tallied two goals. Wisely scored the first of his two goals at 18:39 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Chicago. Wisely's next tally made the score 2-2 with 14:40 left in the second period. Chance Homerin assisted on the tally.

Other players who recorded assists for Chicago were Scott Schroeder, Michael Ellis, Matthew Adams, and Henry Hearon, who each chipped in one.

Peoria was often in penalty trouble, totaling 10 minors and one major for 45 minutes in penalty time. The Mustangs had been averaging 23.0 minutes in penalties per game.

Peoria also got points from Homerin, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Peoria received assists from Joe Power Wayvon, who had one.

The Junior Bulldogs took out Sam Harden after he had made 10 saves and installed Michael Paku in goal, where he finished with eight saves and the win.
