Huge game by Foget boosts Gloucester over Brockville, 4-1

Behind a great game by Matt Foget, who had one goal and two assists, the Gloucester Rangers defeated the Brockville Braves, 4-1.

Foget beat Bo Taylor with a shot 19:43 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Gloucester. Max Veronneau assisted on the tally. Foget dished an assist on Ryan Kuffner's goal that made the score 1-0 Gloucester at 1:36 into the first period. He added another helper on Zachary Borsoi's goal that made the score 4-1 Gloucester at 9:01 into the third period.

Gloucester's David Richer was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 32 saves and let only one puck past him. Richer certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.37 entering the contest.

The Rangers' penalty kill excelled, as Gloucester gave up zero goals despite allowing 11 power plays.

The Rangers stifled Brockville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Gloucester's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Gloucester additionally got points from Borsoi, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Kuffner, who also racked up one goal and two assists. Gloucester also got a goal from Dorian Dawson as well. In addition, Gloucester received assists from Joey Fallon, who had one.

The Braves' offense operated below their season average. Brockville averages 3.4 goals per game. The Braves' offense rang up 33 shots on the Rangers' net.

Brockville was led by Dante Suffredini, who scored the team's only goal. Suffredini scored 6:51 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Gloucester. DAndre John picked up the assist.

Gloucester incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Bo Taylor made 24 saves for the Braves on 28 shots. Brockville incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
