Dauda's big game bests Smiths Falls in 10-3 Pembroke win

Adam Dauda had one goal and two assists to lead the Pembroke Lumber Kings to a 10-3 victory over the Smiths Falls Bears.

Dauda scored on the power play 16:08 into the first period to make the score 4-0 Pembroke. A holding penalty on Nicolas Coates had put Pembroke on the power play. Jesse Blais picked up the assist. Dauda dished an assist on Blais' goal that made the score 2-0 Pembroke at 6:14 into the first period. He added another helper on Hudson Michaelis's goal that made the score 8-0 Pembroke at 14:50 into the second period.

The Lumber Kings forced Bears' goalies to work all game long, launching 43 shots and forcing 33 saves. Michael Pinios made 16 stops and Cole Skinner made 17. Pembroke bested its season scoring average. This season, the Lumber Kings average 4.3 goals per contest.

Pembroke also got points from Brendan Valko, who also registered one goal and one assist, Blais, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Felix Chamberland, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Michaelis, who also had one goal and one assist, Anthony Nellis, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and Justin Felhaber, who also registered one goal and one assist. Pembroke also got a goal from Stephen Cooney as well. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Sean Green, Ryan Casselman, and Cale List, who each chipped in one and Dylan Chase, Mitchell Mueller, and Stephan Beauvais, who contributed two each.

Smiths Falls was led by Cole Busschaert, who grabbed one goal and two assists. Busschaert scored 16:31 into the third period to make the score 10-3 Pembroke. Broydon Stufko provided the assist. Smiths Falls additionally got points from Stufko, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Darius Gibson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Smiths Falls came via Brett Garvey and Josh Leblanc, who each chipped in one.

Green recorded 21 saves for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Bears incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
