Huge game by VanHorn boosts Carleton Place over Gloucester, 4-1

The Carleton Place Canadians' Bryce VanHorn had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 4-1 win over the Gloucester Rangers.

VanHorn found the back of the net 10:35 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Carleton Place and again while on the power play 14:42 into the third to make the score 3-1 Carleton Place.

Carleton Place was led by goalie Adrian Clark, who finished with 25 saves while allowing one goal. Clark managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.93 prior to the game.

The Canadians forced Gloucester goalie David Richer to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Carleton Place additionally got points from Craig Pefley, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Carleton Place also got a goal from Vinny Post as well. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were Stephen Baylis, who had two and Devin Campbell and Jordan Larson, who each chipped in one.

The Rangers were led by Joey Fallon, who scored the team's only goal. Fallon scored on the power play 8:36 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Gloucester earned a power play opportunity when AJ Klein was put in the box for interference. Ryan Kuffner provided the assist.

Carleton Place incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Richer rejected 33 shots on goal for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
