Cornwall downs Kemptville in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Cal Hofford gave the Cornwall Colts a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Kemptville 73s when he scored 6:29 into the extra period.

Cornwall managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Colts wound up below its season average of 14.0 penalty minutes per game. Cornwall kept Kemptville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jacob Tugnutt made 41 saves on 45 shots.

The Colts were led by Peter Angelopoulos, who had two goals. Angelopoulos scored the first of his two goals at 13:17 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Cornwall. Kevin Hope provided the assist. Angelopoulos' next tally made the score 3-3 with 46 seconds left in the third period. Hope picked up the assist. Grant Cooper also scored for Cornwall. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Marly Quince, who had two.

The 73s were led by Matt Tugnutt, who grabbed two goals. Tugnutt scored the first of his two goals at 3:52 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Justin Haasbeek provided the assist. Tugnutt's next tally made the score 3-2 Kemptville with 13:05 left in the third period. Kemptville found itself down a man on Daniel Monk's tripping. Alex Row picked up the assist. Kemptville also got a goal from Tyler Young as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville were Cameron Russell, who had one.

Cornwall's Denny Dubblestyne stopped 23 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Colts registered one goal on four power play opportunities. The 73s incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
