Cornwall falls to Pembroke in overtime, 2-1 (OT)

The Pembroke Lumber Kings' Alexandre Boivin scored 4:20 into overtime to beat the Cornwall Colts, 2-1 (OT).

Pembroke's Jordan Piccolino was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Piccolino certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.31 entering the contest.

The Lumber Kings were led by Boivin, who registered one goal.

Pembroke's offense rang up 42 shots on Cornwall's net.

Felix Chamberland also scored for Pembroke. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Jesse Blais, Hudson Michaelis, Adam Dauda, and Stephan Beauvais, who contributed one each.

The Colts excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Cornwall could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Colts average 3.4 goals per game.

Cornwall was led by Peter Angelopoulos, who scored the team's only goal. Angelopoulos scored 3:26 into the third period to make the score 1-1. Marly Quince picked up the assist.

The Lumber Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Colts' Denny Dubblestyne stopped 40 shots out of the 42 that he faced. Cornwall incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
