Wesley Baker had two goals and one assist to lead the Carleton Place Canadians to a 7-2 victory over the Brockville Braves. Baker found the back of the net on the power play 16:06 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Carleton Place and again while 13:50 into the third to make the score 6-2 Carleton Place.Brockville's nine penalties came back to haunt it, as the Braves let up four goals while on the penalty kill. Carleton Place forced Brockville goalie Bo Taylor to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. The Canadians found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Carleton Place averages 3.9 goals per contest. The Canadians found themselves short handed often, totaling 22 penalty minutes and allowing 10 power plays. The defensemen of Carleton Place were also effective in the Braves' zone, and came away with two goals. Others who scored for Carleton Place included Ryker Killins, who had two and Vinny Post, Craig Pefley, and Stephen Baylis, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Carleton Place were AJ Klein, Tyson Stewart, and Bryce VanHorn, who contributed one each, Alex Robinson and Connor Merkley, who each chipped in two, and Andy Sturtz and Jordan Larson, who contributed three each. Brockville forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and one major for 21 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 18.0 minutes per game the Braves had been spending in the box. Brockville was helped by Jack Billings, who had one goal. Billings scored on the power play 5:25 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Carleton Place. The Braves had gotten the advantage when the Canadians' Sturtz was sent off for high sticking. Andrew Peski provided the assist. Brockville also got a goal from Dylan McCrory as well. In addition, Brockville received assists from Ethan Weiss, Neil Robinson, and Sean King, who each chipped in one. Guillaume Therien made 20 saves for Carleton Place on 22 shots. Taylor rejected 27 shots on goal for Brockville. For the Braves, Dante Suffredini was ejected from the game.
