Cornwall rides Dubblestyne to victory over Carleton Place, 2-1

Denny Dubblestyne stood on his head and made 26 saves to lead the Cornwall Colts to a 2-1 victory over the Carleton Place Canadians.

Cornwall was led by Tanner Spink, who had one goal and one assist. Spink scored on the power play 18:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cornwall. The Colts earned a power play opportunity when Adam Lloyd was put in the box for cross checking. Zac Tierney picked up the assist.

Tristen Elie also scored for Cornwall. In addition, Cornwall received assists from Grant Cooper and Peter Angelopoulos, who each chipped in one.

Carleton Place's offense operated below its season average. The Canadians put an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game.
