The Gloucester Rangers had trouble finding ways to stop the Carleton Place Canadians, which beat Rangers, 5-2. Carleton Place's penalty kill excelled, as the Canadians gave up zero goals despite allowing nine power plays. Carleton Place was paced by Adam Lloyd, who registered one goal. Lloyd scored 5:26 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Carleton Place. Willie Brooks picked up the assist. The Canadians stifled Gloucester's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Carleton Place was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 18 penalty minutes. Carleton Place also got points from Tyson Stewart, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Carleton Place included Connor Merkley, Jordan Larson, and Nicolas Mucci, who each put in one. More assists for Carleton Place came via Bryce VanHorn, who had two and Alex Robinson, Ryan Daniel, Andy Sturtz, Craig Pefley, and Stephen Baylis, who each chipped in one. The Rangers stifled the Canadians' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Gloucester was helped by Joey Fallon, who racked up one goal. Fallon scored 2:55 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Carleton Place. Matt Foget also scored for Gloucester. Guillaume Therien rejected 28 shots on goal for Carleton Place. The Canadians registered zero goals on six power play opportunities. David Richer recorded 24 saves for the Rangers. Gloucester incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Rangers ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Connor Eckenrod was ejected from the game.
