Huge game by Faucher boosts Ottawa over Brockville, 8-2

Carl Faucher was all over the ice for the Ottawa Senators, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Ottawa's 8-2 win over the Brockville Braves.

Faucher's tallies came on the power play at 4:19 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Ottawa and on the power play 11:08 into the second to make the score 5-2 Ottawa.

The Senators forced Braves' goaltenders to work in net, racking up 40 shots and forcing 32 saves. Mitchell Datz made 20 stops and Bo Taylor made 12. Ottawa excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. The Senators' goal total was higher than their season average. Ottawa has scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign.

Ottawa also got points from Connor Bebb, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Alexandre Way, who also had one goal and one assist, and Zach Car, who also registered one goal and one assist. Ottawa also had goals scored by Shawn Lynch, Thomas Crevier, and Brendan Valko, who scored one goal each. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Ryan Cranford, who had two and Robert Michel, Charles Corriveau, Bruno Cheff, Johnathan Kovacevic, Joey Champigny, and Jim Pearson, who contributed one each.

Brockville was helped by Neil Robinson, who tallied one goal. Robinson scored 14:10 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Brockville. Blake Carrick assisted on the tally. Brockville also got a goal from Ethan Weiss as well. More assists for Brockville came via Jack Patterson, who had one.

Alexandre Savard-Belanger made 20 saves for the Senators on 22 shots. Ottawa incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Braves incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For Brockville, Sean King was ejected from the game.
