Kemptville boosted by Tugnutt's play in net, beats Brockville 5-1

Jacob Tugnutt had a standout game with 28 saves, and the Kemptville 73s beat the Brockville Braves 5-1.

Kemptville was led by Rob Grant, who racked up one goal and one assist. Grant scored on the power play 13:49 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Kemptville. The 73s had gotten the advantage when Brockville's Steven Windt was sent off for hooking. Olivier Chabot picked up the assist.

The Braves were unable to stop Kemptville from sending pucks towards the net, and the 73s eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Kemptville additionally got points from Chabot, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Jason Tackett, who also had one goal and one assist. Kemptville also had goals scored by Matt Tugnutt and Alex Row, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Kemptville were Tyson Kirkby, Quinn Wichers, Kaelan OFlynn, Cameron Russell, and Erik Brown, who each chipped in one.

Brockville was held below its usual level of production. The Braves put an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game.

Brockville was led by Sean King, who scored the team's only goal. King scored 15:00 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Kemptville. Jack Billings assisted on the tally.

Kemptville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Braves' Bo Taylor stopped 32 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Brockville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
