Kemptville completes comeback, beats Pembroke, 4-3

The Pembroke Lumber Kings could not hold down the Kemptville 73s, and 73s erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 4-3 win.

Kemptville never led in the game until netting the game winner. The 73s trailed 3-1 after a goal by Pembroke's Nolan Redler at 15:38 in the first period. Kemptville tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Dean Galasso at 13:12 in the second period. The 73s got the game winner at 6:56 in the third period on a goal by Galasso.

Kemptville got the win behind a great game by Shawn Cameron, who had two goals and one assist. Cameron scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 10:27 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke. The 73s had gained a power play chance when Justin Felhaber was whistled for high sticking. Jason Tackett picked up the assist. Cameron's next tally on the power play made the score 4-3 Kemptville with 13:04 left in the third period. Cody Hendsbee assisted on the tally.

Kemptville's offense rang up 38 shots on the Lumber Kings' net.

Kemptville also got points from Galasso, who also racked up two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for Kemptville came via Kaelan OFlynn and Brandon Cole, who each chipped in one.

The 73s were unable to stop Pembroke from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lumber Kings eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Pembroke additionally got points from Alexandre Boivin, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Pembroke received assists from Felix Chamberland and Zachary Borsoi, who contributed one each.

Kemptville's Jacob Tugnutt stopped 31 shots out of the 34 that he faced. The 73s totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and went 2-for-4 on the power play. Kemptville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Quinn Wichers was ejected from the game. Connor Hughes rejected 34 shots on goal for Pembroke. The Lumber Kings totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For Pembroke, Hudson Michaelis was ejected from the game.
