Hunter Racine had two goals and three assists to lead the Hawkesbury Hawks to a 5-2 victory over the Cumberland Grads. Racine's tallies came at 8:11 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Hawkesbury and 39 seconds into the second to make the score 4-0 Hawkesbury.Cumberland's power play was ineffective against Hawkesbury's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. The Hawks' penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled 10 minors and one major for 25 minutes in penalty time. Hawkesbury surpassed its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. The Hawks forced the Grads goalie Kevin Gollmer to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Others who scored for Hawkesbury included Damien Charette, Jason Brochu, and Jonathan Cyr, who scored one goal each.
