Earl Armstrong Arena    Fri, Oct 03, 2014

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Gloucester Rangers defeated the Kanata Stallions in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

The shootout lasted for five attempts between the teams.

Gloucester overcame a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Rangers was down 2-1 after a goal by Kanata's Devin Fullum at 14:35 in the second period. Gloucester tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Zackhary Salloum at 15:00 in the third period.

The Rangers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Stallions to score on any of their three power plays. Gloucester forced Kanata goalie Brian Wilson to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots.
