Ottawa rips Smiths Falls, 4-1

The Ottawa Senators were firing on all cylinders against the Smiths Falls Bears, and when the final buzzer sounded Senators emerged with a 4-1 win.

Ottawa was led by Alexandre Way, who registered one goal. Way scored 8:57 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Ottawa. Sean Rappleyea assisted on the tally.

Jim Pearson also scored for Ottawa. In addition, Ottawa received assists from Chandler Watson, who had two and Connor Bebb, Joey Champigny, and Geoffrey Lawson, who contributed one each.

Smiths Falls was led by Josh Leblanc, who scored the team's only goal. Leblanc scored 5:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Smiths Falls. Karson McCartney picked up the assist.

Alexandre Savard-Belanger made 21 saves for the Senators on 22 shots. Ottawa incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Bears' Cole Skinner stopped 22 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Smiths Falls incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
