Pembroke beats Hawkesbury 6-4 as Dauda gets hat trick

A hat trick by Adam Dauda was the highlight in Lumber Kings' 6-4 win against the Hawkesbury Hawks.

Dauda notched his first tally 17:49 into the first period. He then added goals at 3:38 into the second and at 4:12 into the third.

The Pembroke Lumber Kings' offense rang up 36 shots on Hawkesbury's net. Pembroke found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Lumber Kings average 3.9 goals per contest. Pembroke capitalized on the Hawks' penalties, netting two goals while skating with a man advantage.

Pembroke also got points from Hudson Michaelis, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Pembroke included Ryan Casselman and Alexandre Boivin, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Pembroke were Dylan Chase, who had two, Anthony Nellis, who had three, and Jason Tackett, Felix Chamberland, and Jack Patterson, who contributed one each.

Hawkesbury kept the Lumber Kings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Sean Green made 29 saves on 33 shots.

The Hawks were helped by Ross Mandigo, who registered two goals. Mandigo scored the first of his two goals at 4:58 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Pembroke. Jason Brochu provided the assist. Mandigo's next tally made the score 4-3 Pembroke with 3:33 left in the second period. Hunter Racine picked up the assist. Hawkesbury additionally got points from Brochu, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Pierre Ouellette also scored for Hawkesbury. More assists for Hawkesbury came via Phil Johansson, who had one and Damien Charette, who had two.

Pembroke incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Gunner Rivers rejected 30 shots on goal for Hawkesbury. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
