Brodie Myers had two goals and one assist to lead the Clarington Eagles to a 6-2 victory over the Uxbridge Bruins. Myers scored on the power play at 10:24 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Clarington and again while on the power play 15:53 into the second to make the score 4-2 Clarington.Uxbridge's six penalties came back to haunt it, as the Bruins let up four goals while on the penalty kill. Clarington additionally got points from Brent Hambly, who also racked up two goals and two assists to lead the team in points and Cody Kean, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Clarington also got a goal from Jarod Hollister as well. In addition, Clarington received assists from Jamie Bennett APM, who had one and Brad Down, Dylan Howorko, and Collin Weston, who contributed two each. Uxbridge gave up more goals than its normal season average. The Bruins give up 2.5 goals per game. Uxbridge was led by Todd Winder, who had one goal and one assist. Winder scored on the power play 11:51 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Clarington. The Bruins had taken the advantage when Clarington's Gaige Van Asten got sent off for boarding. Daryl Thomson provided the assist. Ryan Miehm also scored for Uxbridge. Other players who recorded assists for Uxbridge were Michael Spataro and Connor Evans, who each chipped in one. Tyler Caruana recorded 26 saves for the Eagles. Clarington incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Uxbridge's starting goalie, Brandon Francey, made 12 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Jake Joosten, who stopped seven shots.
