Little Britain beats North Kawartha 5-1 as Snoddon gets hat trickLittle Britain Wed, Jan 28, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The North Kawartha Knights could not stop the Little Britain Merchants' Terry Snoddon, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-1 win. Snoddon notched his first tally 2:23 into the second period. He then added goals at 5:11 into the third and at 18:13 into the third.North Kawartha was stymied by Little Britain's netminder Garrett Haden, who stopped 27 shots during the victory. Haden managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 3.24 prior to the game. The Merchants excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in nine chances. Little Britain forced the Knights goalie James Hack to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. Little Britain also got points from Aidan Renouf, who also finished with two goals and one assist. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Kurtis Moore, who had three and Jesse Craig, Mitchell Brown, and Jesse Beers, who each chipped in one. The defense for North Kawartha tightened up when it had players in the penalty box, as it let in one goal on 12 the Merchants power plays. The Knights were led by Zack Pearson, who scored the team's only goal. Pearson scored 9:31 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Little Britain. Little Britain incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with 11 minors. James Hack made 42 saves for North Kawartha on 47 shots. The Knights incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with 13 minors.
