Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Uxbridge Bruins defeated the Little Britain Merchants in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

Uxbridge excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Bruins kept Little Britain's goalie busy throughout the game, and Garrett Haden made 34 saves on 37 shots.

Uxbridge was helped by Jarett Smith, who had one goal. Smith scored on the power play 3:39 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Uxbridge. A high sticking penalty on Matt VanKessel had put the Bruins on the power play. Marco Mastrangelo picked up the assist. Patrick Bolahood also scored for Uxbridge. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Dylan Locke and Tyson Eastgate, who each chipped in one.

The Merchants were held below their usual level of production. Little Britain averages 4.2 goals per game.

The Merchants were helped by Kurtis Moore, who finished with one goal. Moore scored 6:53 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Curtis Lee provided the assist. Little Britain additionally got points from Lee, who also registered one goal and one assist.

Uxbridge's Brandon Francey stopped 28 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Bruins incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Little Britain incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
