The Georgina Ice was within striking distance after one period, but the Lakefield Chiefs put the pedal down in the second en route to a 10-2 victory.

Travis Brault quarterbacked Lakefield's offense to perfection and bagged four assists in the Chiefs' win over Georgina.

The Ice were unable to stop Lakefield from sending pucks towards the net, and the Chiefs eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Lakefield's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Chiefs average 4.8 goals per contest.

Georgina's offense was handcuffed by Lakefield's defensive play, and the Ice managed only 11 shots on goal during the game.

Georgina was led by Bradley Evans, who registered one goal. Evans scored 11:03 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Nathan Sinclair picked up the assist. Thompson Jordan APM also scored for Georgina. Other players who recorded assists for Georgina were Mark Gavrilov and Brandon Basler, who contributed one each.
