The Georgina Ice was within striking distance after one period, but the Lakefield Chiefs put the pedal down in the second en route to a 10-2 victory. Travis Brault quarterbacked Lakefield's offense to perfection and bagged four assists in the Chiefs' win over Georgina. The Ice were unable to stop Lakefield from sending pucks towards the net, and the Chiefs eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Lakefield's goal total was higher than its season average.
