The Port Perry Mojacks tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Clarington Eagles held on for a 3-1 victory. Clarington made the score 3-0 on a goal by Brad Down at 19:19 in the second period, and Port Perry got as close as 3-1 when Liam Schweda scored 6:53 into the third period. The Eagles were led by Ben Pitchforth, who finished with one goal. Pitchforth scored 14:19 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Clarington. Cody Kean assisted on the tally. Clarington also got points from Jake Carter, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Clarington came via Mackenzie Morissette, Dylan Howorko, and Jarod Hollister, who contributed one each. The Mojacks did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Port Perry puts an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. In addition, Port Perry received assists from Ryan Bernardes, who had one. Clarington's Connor Visca stopped 20 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. For Clarington, Ryan Smith was ejected from the game. Blake Shaw made 24 saves for the Mojacks on 27 shots. Port Perry incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Mojacks ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Owen Bateman was ejected from the game.
