Little Britain falls to Port Perry in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Kyle Schweda gave the Port Perry Mojacks a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Little Britain Merchants when he scored 3:13 into the extra period.

Port Perry came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Mojacks fell behind 3-1 after a power play goal by Little Britain's Terry Snoddon at 9:10 in the third period. Port Perry knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Graham Lamers at 19:03 in the third period.

The Mojacks were paced by Schweda, who registered one goal.

Port Perry's offense rang up 31 shots on the Merchants' net.

Port Perry additionally got points from Cole Murray, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Lucas Berkers also scored for Port Perry. More assists for Port Perry came via Jeff St. Pierre, who had two and Ryan Nichols and Kyle Powell, who contributed one each.

Little Britain kept the Mojacks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Blake Shaw made 28 saves on 31 shots.

The Merchants were helped by Mason Patterson, who racked up one goal. Patterson scored 3:18 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Little Britain. Little Britain also got a goal from Kurtis Moore as well. Other players who recorded assists for Little Britain were Jesse Craig and Greg McLean, who each chipped in one.

Port Perry incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Garrett Haden made 27 saves for Little Britain on 31 shots. The Merchants totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-5 on the power play. Team's Mitchell Brown and Brant Foster were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
