Piorkowski nets hat trick, leads Port Perry to 8-3 win over LakefieldScugog Memorial Arena Sun, Nov 16, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
Konrad Piorkowski lifted the Port Perry Mojacks to an 8-3 victory with a hat trick against the Lakefield Chiefs. Piorkowski's first goal came 3:36 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:15 into the second and at 17:30 into the second.Lakefield was unable to stop Port Perry from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mojacks eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. Port Perry found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Mojacks average 4.5 goals per contest. Port Perry additionally got points from Kyle Schweda, who also registered one goal and one assist, Graham Lamers, who also finished with one goal and two assists, and Lucas Clark, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Port Perry also had goals scored by Cole Murray and Ryan Bernardes, who each put in one. More assists for Port Perry came via Kyle Powell, who had three and Ryan Nichols, Matthew Doucette, Alex Carnevale, Liam Schweda, and Jeff St. Pierre, who contributed one each. The Chiefs could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game. Lakefield was helped by Travis Brault, who had one goal. Brault scored 10:50 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Port Perry. Connor Blair picked up the assist. Others who scored for Lakefield included Josh Duggan and Jesse Gregory, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lakefield received assists from Patrick Young and Jayd Killingbeck, who each chipped in one. Port Perry's Blake Shaw stopped 22 shots out of the 25 that he faced. The Mojacks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Zach Wainman recorded 26 saves for the Chiefs. Lakefield registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
