Huge game by Clark boosts Port Perry over North Kawartha, 10-0

Behind a great game by Lucas Clark, who had two goals and three assists, the Port Perry Mojacks defeated the North Kawartha Knights, 10-0.

Clark scored at 7:42 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Port Perry and again while on the power play 16:24 into the third to make the score 10-0 Port Perry.

Port Perry's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four North Kawartha power plays. The Mojacks' defensive effort looked to be improved. Port Perry gives up 2.7 goals on average per game. The Mojacks outdid their season average for goals scored. Port Perry has scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign.

Port Perry also got points from Stevie Sampson, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Cole Murray, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Evan Wasylyk, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Port Perry also got a goal from Kyle Schweda as well. Other players who recorded assists for Port Perry were Liam Schweda, Owen Bateman, and Konrad Piorkowski, who contributed one each and Lucas Berkers and Todd McNair, who each chipped in two.

North Kawartha's offense operated below its season average. The Knights average 2.5 goals per game. The Mojacks' defense shut down North Kawartha's forwards for much of the game, and the Knights got off only 13 shots during the contest.

Jeff Julien made 13 saves for Port Perry on 13 shots. The Mojacks incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. North Kawartha took out James Hack after he had made three saves and installed Liam Murray in goal, where he finished with 10 saves and the loss. The Knights incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
