Little Britain rolls over Georgina, 5-2

The Little Britain Merchants were firing on all cylinders against the Georgina Ice, and when the final buzzer sounded Merchants emerged with a 5-2 win.

Terry Snoddon was all over the ice for Little Britain, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Snoddon scored 15:54 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Little Britain. Mackenzie Smith provided the assist.

The Merchants managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Little Britain finished below its season average of 23.0 penalty minutes per game.

Little Britain also got points from Kurtis Moore, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Little Britain also got a goal from Aidan Renouf as well. More assists for Little Britain came via Jesse Craig and Greg McLean, who contributed one each.

Georgina was helped by Cameron McSween, who had one goal. McSween scored 6:44 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Little Britain. Dustin Brillinger picked up the assist. Mark Gavrilov also scored for Georgina. Other players who recorded assists for Georgina were Dan Foster, who had one.

The Merchants' Adam Harris stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Little Britain registered zero goals on zero power play opportunities. Lennon Gowan recorded 20 saves for the Ice. Georgina finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-1 with the man advantage.
