Marco Mastrangelo tallied two points to lead the Uxbridge Bruins to a 5-1 victory over the North Kawartha Knights.

Uxbridge stifled North Kawartha's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Bruins kept the Knights' goalie busy throughout the game, and Brenton McKenzie Crowe made 41 saves on 46 shots.

Uxbridge also had goals scored by Daryl Thomson, who had two and Alex Siblock and Tyson Eastgate, who each put in one. In addition, Uxbridge received assists from Jordan Nesbitt, who had two and Adam Bartholomew, Jason Simmonds, Patrick Bolahood, Alex Williamson, and Connor Evans, who contributed one each.

North Kawartha was led by Tanner Hamilton, who scored the team's only goal. Hamilton scored 33 seconds into the third period to make the score 3-1 Uxbridge. Ryan Miehm picked up the assist.

Brandon Francey rejected 16 shots on goal for Uxbridge. The Bruins incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Knights incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
