The North Kawartha Knights could not stop the Little Britain Merchants' Brett Doble, who tallied a hat trick in a 10-0 win. Doble's first goal came 9:06 into the first period. He then added goals at 18:55 into the first and at 18:18 into the second.North Kawartha was doomed by its poor performance on special teams, as Little Britain was able to score five times while on the power play. The Merchants forced the Knights' goaltenders to work all game long, getting 32 shots and forcing 22 saves. Brenton McKenzie Crowe made 16 stops and James Hack made six. Little Britain excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Merchants was steadier on the defensive front than they have been for much of this season. Little Britain gives up 2.7 goals on average per game. The Merchants found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Little Britain has scored at the pace of 4.5 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of the Merchants were also effective in North Kawartha's zone, and came away with two goals. Little Britain was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 30 penalty minutes. Little Britain also got points from Kurtis Moore, who also finished with one goal and three assists, Aidan Renouf, who also had one goal and one assist, Riley Jenkins, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Brady Martin, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, and Jesse Beers, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Little Britain included Terry Snoddon and Brant Foster, who each put in one. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Jordan Sharpe, Mitchell Brown, Hayden Long, and Greg McLean, who contributed one each and Mackenzie Smith and Matt VanKessel, who each chipped in two. The Knights did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. North Kawartha puts an average of 2.3 pucks into the net per game. The Knights could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 92 minutes in penalties during the game. The Merchants' Adam Harris stopped 18 shots out of the 18 that he faced. Little Britain ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Long was ejected from the game.
