The North Kawartha Knights survived a determined comeback attempt by the Georgina Ice on the way to a 5-4 win. A goal by Kaleb Marshman put North Kawartha up 4-1 in the second period, but Georgina pulled to within one on Bradley Boudreau's tally 1:34 into the third period. The Knights kept the Ice's goalie busy throughout the game, and Lennon Gowan made 34 saves on 39 shots. North Kawartha found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Knights average 2.6 goals per contest. North Kawartha was led by Cameron Medland, who grabbed three goals. Jacob Rowley also scored for North Kawartha. More assists for North Kawartha came via Jacob Phillips, Cole Robbins, Tanner Hamilton, Matt Douglas, Jacob Tracey, Regan Kennedy, and Eddy Whitmore, who each chipped in one. The Knights were unable to stop Georgina from sending pucks towards the net, and the Ice eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Georgina was helped by Justin Wain, who finished with one goal and one assist. Wain scored on the power play 5:30 into the third period to make the score 4-4. The Ice had gained a power play chance when Robbins was whistled for tripping. Boudreau assisted on the tally. Georgina additionally got points from Boudreau, who also registered one goal and one assist and Brandon Basler, who also had one goal and one assist. Georgina also got a goal from Ryan Kernohan as well. In addition, Georgina received assists from McKenzie Gray, who had two and Bradley Evans, Mark Gavrilov, and Dan Foster, who contributed one each. James Hack recorded 27 saves for North Kawartha. The Knights incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Georgina incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
