Behind two goals from Jarett Smith and one goal and two assists from Marco Mastrangelo, the Uxbridge Bruins downed the Clarington Eagles 5-2. Smith scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Uxbridge. Uxbridge had gained a power play chance when Joe Lamanna was whistled for hooking. Carter Vahey provided the assist. Smith's next tally on the power play made the score 2-0 Uxbridge with 6:49 left in the first period. A hooking call on Jason Simmonds put the Bruins on the penalty kill. Mastrangelo picked up the assist. Mastrangelo scored on the power play 1:40 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Uxbridge. Uxbridge earned a power play opportunity when Cody Kean was put in the box for interference. Connor Evans provided the assist.The Bruins found themselves short handed often, totaling 24 penalty minutes and allowing 10 power plays. Uxbridge also got points from Mastrangelo, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points.
