The Clarington Eagles rallied from three goals down to secure a 5-4 win over the Lakefield Chiefs. Clarington never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Eagles was down 4-1 after a goal by Lakefield's Dalton Hill at 4:33 in the third period. Clarington tied things up at 4-4 on a goal by Brodie Myers at 14:48 in the third period. The Eagles scored the game winner at 16:38 in the third period on a goal by Myers. Clarington got the win on the strength of a great game by Brad Down, who had two goals and one assist. Down scored the first of his two goals at 8:19 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Lakefield. Brent Hambly picked up the assist. Down's next tally made the score 5-4 Clarington with 3:22 left in the third period. Mackenzie Morissette provided the assist. Clarington also got points from Myers, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Clarington also got a goal from Jake Carter as well. Other players who recorded assists for Clarington were Jarod Hollister and Cody Kean, who contributed one each. The Chiefs were led by Aaron Vatcher, who grabbed one goal and one assist.
