The Little Britain Merchants took the lead against the Port Perry Mojacks in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-1 victory. Little Britain took over the lead for good with a goal by Terry Snoddon at 16:57 in the first period. The Merchants had taken the advantage when Port Perry's Ryan Bernardes got sent off for hooking. Kurtis Moore provided the assist.The Mojacks were stymied by Little Britain's netminder Garrett Haden, who stopped 35 shots during the victory. The solid play of Haden will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.74. The Merchants were led by Hayden Long, who grabbed one goal. Long scored 3:25 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Little Britain. Curtis Lee picked up the assist. Little Britain excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Jesse Craig, who had one. Port Perry excelled on the penalty kill, only allowing the Merchants to get one power play goal on 12 chances. The Mojacks forced Little Britain goalie Haden to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Port Perry was led by Liam Schweda, who scored the team's only goal. Schweda scored short handed 10:29 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Little Britain. The Mojacks found themselves down a man on Jeff St. Pierre's unsportsmanlike conduct.
