Snoddon's big game bests North Kawartha in 8-3 Little Britain win

The Little Britain Merchants' Terry Snoddon had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 8-3 win over the North Kawartha Knights.

Snoddon's tallies came on the power play at 10:07 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 18:54 into the first to make the score 4-2 Little Britain.

North Kawartha fell victim to a deadly Little Britain power play, which ripped the Knights for four goals.

The Merchants put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow North Kawartha to score on any of its 11 power plays. Little Britain's offense rang up 32 shots on the Knights' net. The Merchants surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Little Britain averages 4.7 goals per game. The Merchants could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game.

Little Britain also got points from Kurtis Moore, who also finished with two goals and two assists to lead the team in points. Little Britain also had goals scored by Brett Doble, who had two and Aidan Renouf and Kyle ODonnell, who each put in one. In addition, Little Britain received assists from Jesse Craig, Curtis Lee, Mitchell Brown, Greg McLean, and Matt VanKessel, who contributed one each.

North Kawartha kept Little Britain's goalie busy throughout the game, and Adam Harris made 29 saves on 32 shots.

The Knights' James Hack stopped 24 shots out of the 32 that he faced. North Kawartha incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. For the Knights, Jacob Phillips was ejected from the game.
