The Port Perry Mojacks took the lead against the Lakefield Chiefs in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory. Port Perry took over the lead for good with a goal by Cole Murray at 8:01 in the first period. Jeff St. Pierre picked up the assist.Blake Shaw frustrated Lakefield's offense all game, and stopped 40 shots en route to a shutout. The Mojacks were led by Murray, who finished with one goal. Port Perry excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Port Perry also got a goal from Ryan Nichols as well. Other players who recorded assists for Port Perry were Konrad Piorkowski, who had one. The Chiefs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Mojacks to score on any of their four power plays. Lakefield forced Port Perry goalie Shaw to work between the pipes, taking 40 shots. The Mojacks incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Jonathan Thain made 18 saves for the Chiefs on 19 shots. Lakefield incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
