The Mississauga Chargers tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Pickering Panthers held on for a 5-4 victory. Pickering made the score 5-3 on a goal by Riley Devine at 18:49 in the third period, and Mississauga got as close as 5-4 when Zach Sternbach scored 19:49 into the third period. With three goals and one assist between them, Doug Carter and Devine teamed up to power the Panthers' offense. Carter registered two goals and Devine also added one goal and one assist. Pickering stifled the Chargers' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Pickering also got points from Devine, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Pickering also had goals scored by BJ Salerno and Justin Bennett, who each put in one. In addition, Pickering received assists from Jordan Oshowy, Kyler Challis, Cam Palmer, Aidan Parker, John Hudgin, Daniel Barnes, Daniel Butchart, Mark Tenuta, and Blake Coffey, who contributed one each. Mississauga's offense rang up 32 shots on the Panthers' net. The Chargers were led by Thomas Lattavo, who grabbed one goal and three assists. Lattavo scored short handed 6:15 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Pickering. Mississauga was on a disadvantage when Austin Galli went off the ice for high sticking. Sternbach assisted on the tally. Mississauga additionally got points from Sternbach, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Stefano Alonzi, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Joseph Molinaro, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Mississauga were James Sterne, who had two. Pickering's Austin Washkurak stopped 28 shots out of the 32 that he faced. The Panthers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Alex Lepore made 25 saves for the Chargers on 30 shots. Mississauga incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
