St. Michaels holds on for 3-2 win against Kingston

The Kingston Voyageurs tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the St. Michaels Buzzers held on for a 3-2 victory.

A goal by Bron Loiselle put St. Michaels up 3-1 in the third period, but Kingston pulled to within one on Alex Tonge's tally 17:32 into the third period.

Loiselle had two goals to lead the Buzzers to victory.

St. Michaels excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Thomas Beretta also scored for St. Michaels. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Ashur Elliot, who had two and Joseph Berton, Noah Jordan, and Cameron Searles, who contributed one each.

The Buzzers were unable to stop the Voyageurs from sending pucks towards the net, and Kingston eventually piled up 56 shots on goal.

More assists for Kingston came via Cole Bolton, who had one and Adam Brady, who had two.

Mark Manolescu recorded 54 saves for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. St. Michaels ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Marco Ferraro was ejected from the game. Matt Penta made 23 saves for the Voyageurs on 26 shots. Kingston incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
