Georgetown rolls over Hamilton, 6-1

The Hamilton Red Wings had trouble finding ways to stop the Georgetown Raiders, which beat Red Wings, 6-1.

Georgetown was led by Francois Cote, who registered one goal and one assist. Cote scored 8:17 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Georgetown. Brendan Jacome picked up the assist.

The Raiders managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Georgetown finished below its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. The Raiders forced Hamilton goalie Jordan Cartney to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. Georgetown's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, the Raiders average 3.8 goals per contest.

Georgetown additionally got points from Steve Hladin, who also had one goal and two assists, Anthony Marra, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Richard Court, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, Jacome, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Josh Dickinson, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Jordan Brown, Scott Emerson, Zack Dybowski, and Nick Iafrate, who each chipped in one.

The Red Wings could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Hamilton averages 3.5 goals per game.

The Red Wings were led by Nicholas Lepone, who scored the team's only goal. Lepone scored 9:12 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Georgetown. Joseph Mitchell assisted on the tally.

Jack LaFontaine rejected 19 shots on goal for Georgetown. The Raiders registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Jordan Cartney made 30 saves for Hamilton on 36 shots. The Red Wings incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
