The Buffalo Jr. Sabres and the Orangeville Flyers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Buffalo made the most of its opportunities and won, 6-4.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Josh Gabriel at 12:44 of the third period.

The Jr. Sabres forced Orangeville goalie Wyatt Pickrell to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Buffalo surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Jr. Sabres have scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

Buffalo also had goals scored by Aaron Reinig, Christopher Berger, David Baskerville, and Tim Kielich, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo were Ryan Kuhn, who had two, Daniel Lafontaine, who had three, and Wilson Vershay, Brenden Dunning, and Justin Cmunt, who each chipped in one.

The Flyers were led by Darren Nesbitt, who racked up two goals. Nesbitt scored the first of his two goals at 10:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Orangeville. Lucas Smilsky provided the assist. Nesbitt's next tally made the score 3-2 Orangeville with 19:22 left in the third period. Smilsky picked up the assist. Others who scored for Orangeville included Christopher Sciammarella and Devon Gillham, who scored one goal each. More assists for Orangeville came via Ryan Anton, Daniel DeRose, James McLaughlin, and Ethan Wiseman, who contributed one each.

Buffalo's Alex Connal stopped 20 shots out of the 24 that he faced. The Jr. Sabres incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Pickrell rejected 29 shots on goal for Orangeville. The Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
