St. Michaels falls to North York in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The North York Rangers' Matthew Whittaker scored 4:23 into overtime to beat the St. Michaels Buzzers, 4-3 (OT).

North York came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Rangers was down 3-1 after a goal by St. Michaels' Bron Loiselle at 5:31 in the third period. North York knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Gabriel Valenzuela at 18:11 in the third period.

With three goals and two assists between them, Valenzuela and Whittaker teamed up to power the Rangers' offense. Valenzuela registered two goals and one assist and Whittaker also notched one goal and one assist.

North York's offense rang up 49 shots on the Buzzers' net.

North York additionally got points from Whittaker, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. North York also got a goal from Ted Hunt as well. More assists for North York came via Austin Brown, Jeremy Szabo, Zachary Fung, Brett Seldon, and Will Reilly, who each chipped in one.

St. Michaels kept the Rangers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Gianluca Baggetta made 33 saves on 36 shots.

Scott Teskey also scored for St. Michaels. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Ashur Elliot, Matt Pepler, A.J. Dorazio, Troy Oakley, and Ryan Kruss, who contributed one each.

North York incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Mark Manolescu rejected 45 shots on goal for the Buzzers. St. Michaels incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
