Milton falls to Buffalo in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Josh Gabriel gave the Buffalo Jr. Sabres a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Milton Icehawks when he scored 14 seconds into the extra period.

Buffalo came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Jr. Sabres was down 2-0 after a goal by Milton's Sean Perichak at 19:15 in the first period. Buffalo knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Brenden Dunning at 19:31 in the second period.

The Jr. Sabres were sparked by Gabriel, who tallied one goal.

Buffalo kept the Icehawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cosimo Lazzarino made 30 saves on 33 shots.

Buffalo also got points from Dunning, who also had one goal and one assist. Buffalo also got a goal from Tim Kielich as well. More assists for Buffalo came via Justin Cmunt, who had two and Chris Moses, David Baskerville, and Ryan Kuhn, who contributed one each.

Milton was helped by Ryan Taylor, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Taylor scored short handed 7:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Milton. The Icehawks played down a man on Mitch Graham's cross checking. Perichak picked up the assist. Milton additionally got points from Perichak, who also finished with one goal and one assist. In addition, Milton received assists from Michael Martellacci, who had one.

Alex Connal made 26 saves for the Jr. Sabres on 28 shots. Buffalo incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Milton incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
