Michael Cuddemi scored the go-ahead goal in the first period, and the Toronto Jr. Canadiens Junior Canadiens held off the challenges of the North York Rangers in a tough 4-2 win.

Cuddemi provided Toronto Jr. Canadiens with the game-winning tally when he scored 7:53 into the first period. The Junior Canadiens had gotten the advantage when North York's Brett Seldon was sent off for hooking. Ryan MacSpadyen assisted on the tally.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was sparked by Aaron Spivak, who tallied one goal. Spivak scored on the power play 5:38 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Junior Canadiens earned a power play opportunity when Gianluca Baggetta was put in the box for delay of game. Ryan Kruss picked up the assist.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens forced the Rangers goalie Baggetta to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The Junior Canadiens could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got points from Justin Maiolino, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Toronto Jr. Canadiens also got a goal from Will Lawrence as well. In addition, Toronto Jr. Canadiens received assists from Matthew Ferrari, Luca Farrace, and Kevin Hancock, who contributed one each.

Toronto Jr. Canadiens was unable to stop North York from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

North York was helped by Matthew Whittaker, who registered one goal. Whittaker scored on the power play 4:57 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The Rangers had gained a power play chance when Spivak was whistled for hooking. Zachary Fung assisted on the tally. Daniel Lopapa rejected 39 shots on goal for the Junior Canadiens. Toronto Jr. Canadiens registered two goals on five power play opportunities. North York's Baggetta stopped 33 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Rangers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
