Toronto Patriots outlasts Buffalo, 5-3

The game between the Toronto Patriots Patriots and the Buffalo Jr. Sabres was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Toronto Patriots emerged with a 5-3 win.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Tyler Currie secured the win for the Patriots with a goal in the second period.

Toronto Patriots was led by Jacob Hayhurst, who registered one goal and one assist. Hayhurst scored 16:57 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Toronto Patriots. Mario Ferraro assisted on the tally.

In the losing effort, Buffalo was led by Ryan Kuhn, who tallied two goals. Kuhn scored the first of his two goals at 19:31 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Patriots. Justin Cmunt picked up the assist. Kuhn's next tally made the score 2-2 with 22 seconds left in the first period. Cmunt assisted on the tally.

The Patriots' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Buffalo power plays. Toronto Patriots' offense rang up 41 shots on the Jr. Sabres' net.

Others who scored for Toronto Patriots included Marcus Rose, Connor Beck, and Nicholas Ursitti, who each put in one. More assists for Toronto Patriots came via Niko Kovachis, who had two and Jordan Oshowy, Louis DiMatteo, and Quinn Syrydiuk, who each chipped in one.

Buffalo kept the Patriots' goalie busy throughout the game, and Emanuel Vella made 34 saves on 37 shots.

Buffalo also got a goal from Chris Moses as well. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Christopher Berger, Collin Farrell, and Josh Gabriel, who contributed one each.

Toronto Patriots incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Alex Connal rejected 36 shots on goal for the Jr. Sabres. Buffalo incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
