Toronto Patriots downs Whitby in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Toronto Patriots Patriots' Connor Beck scored 3:33 into overtime to beat the Whitby Fury, 3-2 (OT).

Toronto Patriots came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Patriots trailed 2-0 after a goal by Whitby's Dakota Kettrick at 3:45 in the first period. Toronto Patriots knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Nicholas Ursitti at 6:48 in the third period.

Beck had two goals to lead the Patriots to victory.

Toronto Patriots forced the Fury goalie Tyler Feaver to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

More assists for Toronto Patriots came via Tyler Currie, Brett Markham, Niko Kovachis, and Nathan Feric, who contributed one each.

Whitby kept the Patriots' goalie busy throughout the game, and Emanuel Vella made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Matt Fischer also scored for Whitby. In addition, Whitby received assists from Luke Keenan, Henry Thompson, Scott Kirton, and Kevin Dimagno, who each chipped in one.

Toronto Patriots ended with no penalties and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Feaver rejected 32 shots on goal for the Fury. Whitby incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
