Huge game by Jacome boosts Georgetown over Lindsay, 5-2

Behind a great game by Brendan Jacome, who had one goal and two assists, the Georgetown Raiders defeated the Lindsay Muskies, 5-2.

Jacome scored short handed 9:35 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Georgetown. A hooking call on Richard Court put Georgetown on the penalty kill. Jordan Brown assisted on the tally. Jacome dished an assist on Steve Hladin's goal that made the score 1-0 Georgetown at 9:30 into the first period. He added another helper on Zack Dybowski's goal that made the score 4-2 Georgetown at 14:36 into the third period.

Josh Dickinson also scored for Georgetown. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Jake Clements, Eric Eustace, and Kyle Allan, who each chipped in one and Francois Cote and Blake Jones, who contributed two each.

Lindsay managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Muskies ended up below its season average of 19.0 penalty minutes per game.

Lindsay was led by Jack Scanlan, who finished with one goal and one assist. Scanlan scored on the power play 11:56 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Muskies had gotten the advantage when the Raiders' Cote was sent off for high sticking. Logan DeNoble picked up the assist. Lindsay also got a goal from Brandon Washer as well. More assists for Lindsay came via Kristopher Diclemente and Owen Barnett, who each chipped in one.

Georgetown's Jack LaFontaine stopped 26 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Raiders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Brett Chandler made 22 saves for Lindsay on 27 shots. The Muskies registered two goals on six power play opportunities.
