Morrison's hat trick boosts Aurora over Stouffville, 5-3Aurora Community Centre Fri, Nov 21, 2014 Story by Narrative Science.
The Stouffville Spirit could not stop the Aurora Tigers' Cameron Morrison, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-3 win. Morrison notched his first tally 13:10 into the first period. He then added goals at 55 seconds into the third and at 9:32 into the third.Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 19:48 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. Aurora was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 39 minutes in penalty time. The Tigers had been averaging 13.0 minutes in penalties per game. Aurora forced Stouffville goalie Aaron Taylor to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Aurora additionally got points from Drake Board, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Jordan DaSilva, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Aurora received assists from Mack Lemmon, who had three and Daniel Mantenuto, Michael Laidley, and Eric Williams, who contributed one each. Stouffville totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 2-for-6 on the power play. The Spirit ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Spencer Roberts was ejected from the game. |
