Milton boosted by Lazzarino's play in net, beats St. Michaels 2-1

The Milton Icehawks relied on the sparkling performance of Cosimo Lazzarino in net to grab a 2-1 win against the St. Michaels Buzzers.

Milton was paced by Sean Perichak, who had one goal. Perichak scored 11:33 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Milton. Mitch Graham picked up the assist.

The Icehawks excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. St. Michaels was unable to stop Milton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Icehawks eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Milton also got a goal from Ryan Taylor as well. In addition, Milton received assists from Anthony Baxter and Adam Burnett, who contributed one each.

The Buzzers' offense rang up 32 shots on Milton's net. St. Michaels could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Buzzers were led by Scott Teskey, who scored the team's only goal. Teskey scored short handed 9:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Michaels. St. Michaels played down a man on Luca Doctor's hooking. Matt Pepler provided the assist.

The Icehawks' Lazzarino stopped 31 shots out of the 32 that he faced. Milton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Mark Manolescu rejected 33 shots on goal for the Buzzers.
