Lindsay falls to Stouffville in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Stouffville Spirit pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Lindsay Muskies on a clutch goal by Brodie Tutton.

Stouffville nearly gave up a two-score lead. The Spirit made the score 2-0 on a power play goal by Spencer Roberts at 16:34 in the second period. Lindsay got to within 2-1 on a power play goal by Joseph Vocino at 12:06 in the third period.

Tutton had two goals and one assist to lead Stouffville. Tutton scored the first of his two goals at 17:27 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Stouffville. Nathan Hudgin provided the assist. Tutton's next tally made the score 4-3 Stouffville with 17:10 left in. Joseph Deveny assisted on the tally.

The Spirit's offense rang up 38 shots on the Muskies' net.

Stouffville also got a goal from Chad Burrows as well. Other players who recorded assists for Stouffville were Colton Sansom, James Mense-Dietrich, and Michael Giacometti, who each chipped in one.

Lindsay kept Stouffville's goalie busy throughout the game, and Aaron Taylor made 50 saves on 53 shots.

The Muskies were led by Brandon Washer, who registered one goal and one assist. Washer scored 15:37 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Jack Scanlan picked up the assist. Mathew Lewis also scored for Lindsay. More assists for Lindsay came via Keegan Cairns, who had one and James Allen, who had two.

The Spirit incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Boyd Diclemente made 34 saves for Lindsay on 38 shots. The Muskies incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with two minors.
