The Cobourg Cougars and the Georgetown Raiders skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Georgetown trailed Cobourg by two in the second period, but the Raiders did not give up and the game ended in a tie.

The Cougars were helped by Liam Grande, who tallied two goals. Grande scored the first of his two goals at 14:35 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Cobourg. Connor Armour provided the assist. Grande's next tally made the score 2-0 Cobourg with 17:51 left in the second period. Armour assisted on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for Cobourg were Ryan Taylor, who had one.

Georgetown's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Cobourg power plays. Cobourg was unable to stop the Raiders from sending pucks towards the net, and Georgetown eventually piled up 31 shots on goal.

The Raiders were helped by Anthony Marra, who registered one goal. Marra scored on the power play 16:16 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Jordan Brown provided the assist. Georgetown additionally got points from Steve Hladin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.

Stefano Durante made 29 saves for the Cougars on 31 shots. Cobourg incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Georgetown's Marc Williams stopped 27 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Raiders incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Georgetown ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Scott Emerson was ejected from the game.
